People have lived on our river for 9,000 years! Archaeologist Tom Trow discovered it while doing the most recent survey of ancient sites along the Root River. He’ll provide a slide show and account of his explorations on early Native American life in our region thousands of years ago. Tom will also address the written accounts of native burials at the river confluence near Lanesboro.
The Thompson House B and B will host the accompanying party with appetizers and live music by Heidi Dybing. The Grays, owners of the Thompson House, will offer tours of this lovely restored historic home.
